Igor Panarin

Igor Panarin is a Russian analyst who predicted in November 2008 that the United States was headed for not only financial but also political collapse in the next few years. UPI: Russian Expert: U.S. Headed for Collapse.

In a December 29, 2008, article in The Wall Street Journal, Panarin outlined what he believes the U.S. will look like after its collapse which he believes will occur in 2010: six separate pieces under the control of other countries. 1. Atlantic America—the eastern seaboard from South Carolina to Maine, Kentucky and Tennessee. Panarin says this group may join the European Union
2. Central North-American Republic—Ohio to Wyoming, North Dakota to Kansas. Likely to be part of Canada or under Canadian influence
3. California Republic—Pacific coast, plus Nevada, Utah, Arizona and Idaho. Will be part of China or under Chinese influence
4. Texas Republic—New Mexico to Florida, New Orleans to Oklahoma. Will be part of Mexico or under Mexican influence
5. Alaska—Will go to Russia
